I'm using Pywikipedia bot executing the interwiki script. The familiy file can be made up following the instructions in the file README-family.txt. You can find this text file in your Python directory, e.g.: C:\Python26\pywikipedia\families. Otherwise just adapt an existing family-file. The prompt looks good. The "Received incomplete XML data." error depends on connection and server delay - faik. But keep in mind, that interwiki script can only work on pages with at least one correct interwiki link. Maybe I may have a look on your family file to proceed answering, if you'd like to send it via eMail.
