Re: Interlanguage bot

I'm using Pywikipedia bot executing the interwiki script. The familiy file can be made up following the instructions in the file README-family.txt. You can find this text file in your Python directory, e.g.: C:\Python26\pywikipedia\families. Otherwise just adapt an existing family-file. For more help you can discuss on related MetaWiki talk pages, where I also try to help as good as I can ;-) Feel free to ask if you need help. --Plasmarelais § · talk · pr · @ 21:23, 8. The prompt looks good. The "Received incomplete XML data." error depends on connection and server delay - faik. But keep in mind, that interwiki script can only work on pages with at least one correct interwiki link. Maybe I may have a look on your family file to proceed answering, if you'd like to send it via eMail. Looks like you're running the bot on live wiki, not on a local dump file, right? --Plasmarelais § · talk · pr · @ 01:21, 10. Nov. 2009 (UTC)
Your family file looks good, I've made some minor edits and added missing languages: [1]. The reason for error "Received incomplete XML data." maybe the -hint: parameter. I've never worked with it and haven't found how to use it. Here it sounds like there are no existing interwiki links necessary, but I'm afraid that's an illusion. On MA I always made the pages up to have at least on iwl if possible and then let the bot work over. For further questions I like to ask you to contact me via eMail, since this is getting a bit technical ;-) --Plasmarelais § · talk · pr · @ 18:04, 10. Nov. 2009 (UTC)
